About Bobo

This handsome boy is my son Boris. Already 14 years old, with autism. As a mother of another child, I can say that he was born quite right. He was ahead of his sister with his physical development, at 9-10 months he began to imitate, recognize and show pictures. When he was 11 months old, his development seemed to slow down slightly, but there were no signs of regression yet. At 1.5 years, however, a few days after vaccination, his behavior changed dramatically. He lost eye contact, interest in his sister, he wanted everything to be done in a specific order, and we had to go for a walk only through a specific route. Gradually, I realized that the child’s behavior was autistic. At the age of 2 we started therapies. Gluten- and casein-free diet, a visit to a center for such children, consultations with American specialists. For the last 9 years we have gone through many different therapies, medicines, supplements, protocols, pressure chamber and what not. All very expensive, requiring a lot of time and my complete devotion as a mother. Some have led to progress, others have not, and still others have made things worse.

As a positive example, I can give the treatment of his intestinal problems by the American gastroenterologist Dr. Kriegsman. Bobo was 3 years old and the treatment lasted about 2 years. This was the first thing that led to some progress and flashes of understanding in Bobo. I don’t want to even estimate how much all the procedures, medicines and consultations for this treatment cost, certainly over BGN 15,000.

Over the past 5 years, we have done 3 stem cell infusions. We have traveled for therapies to Ukraine, Hungary, Italy. Boris is already a curious child who wants to communicate and learn. He understands much better, tries to say words, read and write. But we are still very far from my goal as a parent – ​​for him to become as independent as possible.
